Choosing a cosmetic jar: material, wall type and liner

PP or PET

PP jars are tough, handle higher temperatures and are common for creams and balms. PET jars are clear and glossy, which shows the product inside.

Single or double wall

Single-wall jars are light and economical. Double-wall jars have an outer shell around an inner cup, which gives a heavier, premium feel and a clean look from the side.

Liners and seals

Foam liners, PE discs and inner lids help keep the product sealed and clean. For shipping and e-commerce, ask about induction seals or other leak protection.

Sizing

Jar capacity is usually given in grams or milliliters. Fill a sample with your product to see how the fill level looks before you choose the size.
